Johanna Lynch: "As an artist I find that having an inspirational environment helps my creativity. I have a wall behind my computer that I pin my recent inspirations onto. I pin my favourite drawings, artworks, pictures, photos, quotes, or anything that inspires me to do my best work. I use my own material and the work of others. I change the wall constantly to keep my mind excited. I really enjoy redecorating my wall and spend time making it look great."
I think having a pin board is a great way to help your creativity. You can pin your inspirations and your own work. It makes your design station home.
Ben Miall: "I love that I can look out my window and get distracted by the world passing by. It may not be so productive, but it makes me happy."
Natasha Singh: "The most important thing about my design workspace is my inspiration wall. I enjoy changing it constantly, and making it look amazing. I sit back and admire it daily."
Dominic Vavala: "The best way to explain the most essential things in how I work:
- Lighting is important, I need to see detail from all my reference photos and what not.
- My laptop is important, I scan/open which ever photo into photoshop where I can manipulate the size zoom and change levels when I draw it. I can also apply grids to it if I use it as a guide in what I draw.
- Clean space around me, must be tidy. Mess I can't work around. Pencils I don't care which shade or colour that's easy, but I NEED them to be sharpened all the time.
- Comfortable chair height position.
But yeah clean space, laptop, lighting, sharp pencils and rubber, and comfortable height position of what I'm drawing on aka the desk."
